A visit to Couran Cove

Vicki and I spent the night of Thursday 7 August 14 at Couran Cove on South Stradbroke Island. There are literally hundreds of accomodation units, both on the water and in bushland settings.
On Thursday, there were perhaps 40 people but the staff say crowds do come on weekends.
If you go during the week, do not expect a gourmet meal.

Typical wateredge units

The view from our unit balcony

Zoomed in view from the same spot on our balcony around 8:00 pm

A nice strong sunset

There are lots of bush walks, probably the main activity unless you are there with kids

Plenty of pushbikes are available for hire at $30.00 per day - this shot is of a bike graveyard.

  2. Great shots, Rod. How were the mozzies over there? Last time we were there we were eaten alive.
